The Law Office of Michael D. Rubin provides a complete array of legal services in matrimonial law. Most of the cases involve lawsuits filed in family law courts, in some jurisdictions, though, multipurpose civil courts handle family law matters.
Enforcement:
What do you do when the other parent violates the terms of the Court's Final Order? Generally, a Motion for Enforcement is filed. Most enforcement cases involve child support or visitation but also includes property, health insurance, payment of debts and other matters contained in the Final Order. The Court can do a number of different things including finding the other party in contempt and sentencing him/her to jail for up to six months, awarding attorney fees, adding interest to back child support and make up visits for lost possession times.
