Michael D. Rubin Famil Law Attorney

About Michael D. Rubin, P.C.

I was born in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Oklahoma when I was nine. Upon graduating high school I attended college at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. After college, I attended The University of Oklahoma and obtained my Juris Doctorate and Masters in Business in Administration.

After finishing my Juris Doctorate I moved to the DFW Metroplex. In 2005, I married Monika Claudine Long. Since our nuptials we have had two children and I adopted Monika's two children (Hallie and Alex) from her previous marriage. Our family also have three dogs, and extended family including 5 nieces and one nephew.

Rubin FamilyFamily law is very personal to me because I have been through the divorce and adoption process. I have seen the positives and negatives of family law. In my divorce I came to the realization that I wanted to be fair but I had to protect my assets, and I also wanted to see my dogs. I take the experience from my divorce and understand the stress of filing for divorce and the emotional and financial issues involved. During the adoption process I saw all the good the law could provide. The law allowed the opportunity to adopt as my own children--my wife's children---because I loved her and they were a part of her. It also made our family complete---our two children know that their “Bubby” and “Sissy” are adopted and they could care less. The love between siblings has no boundaries.
